Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia to take part in the Meetings of Senior Officials of the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum on 7-8 May

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov will take part in the Meetings of Senior Officials of the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) on security to be held on 7-8 May in Laos, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

The participants plan to focus on the current multilateral mechanisms in preparation for the forthcoming East Asia Summit and ARF Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Zakharova indicated.

Currently, the East Asia Summit includes 18 members: the ten ASEAN member states and its dialogue partners — Russia, Australia, India, China, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the United States and Japan.
