Dmitry Medvedev meets with Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha

In St Petersburg, Dmitry Medvedev held talks with Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha, who arrived on an official visit to Russia to participate in the ASEAN — Russia Summit.

The heads of government discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation and current international affairs.

Dmitry Medvedev noted that Thailand is one of Russia's key partners in the Asia-Pacific region. "Eventually, we should reach the goal we agreed upon during my visit to the Kingdom of Thailand, that is, to reach $10 billion in annual trade," Prime Minister Medvedev said.

He also welcomed Russia's cooperation with Thailand within ASEAN.

In turn, Prayut Chan-o-cha noted the dynamic nature of Russia's relations with Thailand and other ASEAN countries. "We hope that our relations and cooperation will keep growing," he said.
