Russia, ASEAN defence ministers to hold first meeting on 26 April

On 26 April, Moscow will host the first meeting between Russian and ASEAN defence ministers, Russia's Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov said on Monday.

Meeting participants are to discuss regional security issues and joint work in this area. The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation will submit a number of proposals to its colleagues, Mr Antonov said. There are plans to hold bilateral talks with the delegations of ASEAN Member States after the meeting.
