ASEAN – Russia Business Forum to be held on 19 May in Sochi

The ASEAN — Russia Business Forum, which will be held on 19 May in Sochi, will bring together over 500 business people from Russia and ASEAN member states, President of Russia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sergei Katyrin said at a news conference in Moscow.

The CCI sees as its mission the promotion of Russian businesses in ASEAN member states, Mr Katyrin said, and it also seeks to contribute to the establishment of direct contacts between businesses and to step up information exchange on each other's capabilities and needs.

‘Why Russian businesses need the ASEAN market, and why ASEAN member states need the Russian market' will be the main theme of the Business Forum," Sergei Katyrin said.

The event will consist of a plenary session and two panel discussions: "Russia's Export Potential: Implementing Strategic Priorities of ASEAN Member States" and "Towards New ASEAN-Russia Economic Partnership: Essential Tools, Mechanisms and Drivers of Growth."
