Thailand Prime Minister to visit Russia in May 2016

In May 2016, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister for National Security and Minister of Defence General Prawit Wongsuwan told journalists at a briefing at the Defence Ministry.

Two deputy prime ministers of Thailand will also pay an official visit to Russia on 23-27 February 2016, he added.

According to Mr Wongsuwan, the sides will focus on bilateral trade and economic relations, security cooperation, and efforts to combat transnational crime, including illegal drug trafficking.
