Presidential Library prepares collection of archive materials for ASEAN – Russia Summit

Journalists working at the ASEAN — Russia Commemorative Summit in Sochi will be able to learn about the relations between Russia and the Southeast Asian nations without leaving their workspace at the International Press Centre.

Archive documents and materials on key issues pertaining to Russia's cooperation with the Southeast Asian countries have been selected and digitised. All of them will be available at the Presidential Library website.

The library staff noted that participants will be able to see the world's first publications of research on the countries that are now ASEAN member states. The research had been conducted by 19th-century Russian seafarers. The documents will be supported by detailed maps.

The collection will also feature the history and modern state of diplomatic relations between Russia and ASEAN.
