Russia eyes ASEAN economic partnership

Russia has proposed entering into an economic partnership with the ASEAN countries, Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said at the ASEAN — Russia Business Forum.

"Ahead of the ASEAN — Russia Summit, we proposed moving ahead with creating a format, such as an economic partnership, between Russia and ASEAN Member States," he said.

This format will help address issues related to economic regulation, trade and service legal framework, investment protection, and the creation of global added value chains, the minister said.
